Hey, and WELCOME to the 1st of December 2014 update!
As you can tell, there have been some BIG changes going on behind the scenes of AidanBooth.com… I’m EXTREMELY excited finally roll out my “new look”…
Watch the quick ‘tour video’ below for an overview of what’s changed, and then continue on to today’s content (which I think you’re gonna LOVE):
What do you think of the “new look”?
I’d LOVE to hear your feedback, so please leave a comment at the bottom of this post with your thoughts!!
BTW – Are you interested in getting an in-depth case study about how I made the changeover from the old design to the new one? For example, would you like to know how I created this new design, the costs, the changeover process etc… Let me know in the comment box at the bottom of this post, and I’ll start working on something for you!
On to today’s content…
Whatever you’re doing online, you’ll most likely start with finding a niche or a product to promote or sell.
But for many people, this is a big hurdle…
It’s never as easy as experienced marketers make is sound, which is why I’ve asked a good friend to join us today and share some of his wisdom.
My guest is Andrew Hansen, and he agreed to let me interview him to find out about his hyper-effective system for uncovering affiliate marketing niches, and how he then validates commercial intent.
The interview is about 30-40 minutes long, and in it you’ll SEE exactly what Andrew does… If you are interested in affiliate marketing, or niche marketing in general, then I think you’re going to find it incredibly valuable.
Andrew is a full time internet marketer who got started back in 2005. He has a wealth of knowledge about online marketing, and specifically in the areas of Affiliate Marketing and SEO.
Like me, he’s from “down under” (he grew up in Queensland, Australia), and he now lives in London.
Andrew is one of the guys we go to when we need to know something about SEO. In fact, just last week I was asking Andrew for some advice about one particular aspect of high PR domain names…
Andrew is a guy who talks the talk, but more importantly, he WALKS THE WALK. He does this stuff for a living. Every day he’s in the trenches building his business, just like you and I.
In the video below Andrew reveals some golden nuggets, so I STRONGLY recommend you watch it, and make sure you also download the transcript too (download links are below the video):

Tolls & Resources Mentioned In The Video
One of the things that I REALLY loved from this interview was Andrew’s “monthly earning potential” formula… it’s explained in detail in the video so watch that for more information, but in a nutshell it works as follows:
Monthly Earning Potential = Monthly Search Volume x 35% (percentage of search traffic that #1 ranked website will get) x 35% (CTR from your website to the product offer page) x 5% (conversion rate on offer page) x Commission (amount you make per sale).
Let me break this down in a simpler way using a real example.
Let’s assume that the monthly search volume for your keyword set is 5,000.
We’ll also assume that the commission you’ll earn on the product you’re promoting is $41.
Using these two numbers, we have the following formula:
Monthly Earning Potential = 5,000 x 35% x 35% x 5% x $41 = $1,255
TIP: If you hate percentages like me, then you can just replace the percentages above with their ‘decimal’ values:
Monthly Earning Potential = 5,000 x 0.35 x 0.35 x 0.05 x $41 = $1,255
Pretty cool huh!
We can quickly get a ballpark figure for our earning potential just by combining a few basic numbers 🙂
As Andrew made crystal clear at the end of the interview, niche marketing, affiliate marketing and SEO are very much alive and well…
Steve Clayton (my business partner) and I have also been working away behind the scenes with a few experiments on some of our old affiliate sites (as well as building some brand new ones), and what we’ve seen so far has been very very encouraging. More on that after we’ve done more testing…
There’s a sneaky system I use to identify golden Amazon opportunities…
It works for Kindle, and also for White Label products.
I had hoped to make a video about this little trick and include it in this blog post today, but with my site changeover and everything else that’s been going on, I just ran out of time…
So here’s what I’ve decided to do…
In the next few weeks I’ll create a video for you detailing EXACTLY how I identify my best Amazon products. I’ll show you exactly what I do…
Once the video is ready, I’ll send you an email to notify you about it and you can check it out for yourself.
All you need to do is make sure you’re subscribed to my NEW email list, you can do that by clicking the button below:
I’ll send you an email as soon as it’s ready 🙂
That’s all for today!
Remember to leave a comment to let me know what you think of this month’s content, and I’d LOVE to know what you think about my new website design!!
