VIDEO: June 1st Update

Hey there, it’s already June, wow, this year is fast expiring! For this months update I’ve filmed a short video for you to discuss a few of the things I’ve been working on, both personal and business. Here are some updates on how my year is going and some books I recommend…

The Growth Booth Podcast

The main activity I’ve been doing this year is developing my new podcast! Every week I publish a new episode on my website, TheGrowthBooth.com. You can also listen to them on various podcast channels, such as Spotify, Apple, Stitcher, etc, or watch the video on my website or Youtube.  I’ve been getting a lot of great feedback on it, and if you’ve been watching or listening, thank you very much!

This last month, I’ve had episodes on the following:

  • Two episodes on outsourcing
  • Interviewed the creator of The 12 Week Year
  • Talked with Chuck Blakeman (author of “Making Money is Killing Your Business“) on how to avoid being trapped on a constantly speeding treadmill as you build up your business
  • And yesterday I spoke out an overarching framework on investing and how I personally save my money

Also, in a week I’m going to talk with my property manager and investing, and the week after I’ll be going more into investing in the stock market.

To keep up to date, please subscribe to my mailing list. I send out updates weekly with each new episode.

Recent Reads

Note that I rarely actually “read” my books – I listen to them all using Audible. That way I can steadily learn new things while exercising, driving, etc. without actually having to sit down and pause my day.

The Ultimate Sales Machine by Chet Holmes

A beefy book with a lot of good ideas and strategies on how to grow a business. Available on Amazon.

Breath by James Nestor

A fascinating book on… you guessed it… breathing! It’s changed the way I look at such a vital function, and how it’s much more than just a simple body reflex. I highly recommend this on how the way we breathe impacts our health. Available on Amazon.

Beyond Order – Jordan Peterson

This is a sequel to his 12 Rules for Life. Very interesting and meaty, with lots of great ideas. Available on Amazon.

4000 Weeks – Oliver Burkeman

A very interesting book, almost like an anti-time management approach to your day. Though I don’t agree with all of his views, there’s a couple neat ways he talks about how to use and enjoy your time in the moment. Available on Amazon.

For some non-business non-fiction, I’ve read “Hunting LeRoux” by Elaine Shannon, and “The Mastermind” by Evan Ratliff. Both were very intense true-story thrillers about some of the biggest criminals to ever walk the earth and what they did.

Thanks for reading, and let me know below any great books you’ve been reading, and what you think about the podcast and what topics you’d like me to cover in the future!

    Hi Aidan;

Thanks for the book idea! Interesting concept that computers have problems with productivity and schedules as well, thanks!

Cannot find link to jump onboard. Have e mailed a few e mails that have to get help to do this. Saw this in one of my e mails and thought I’d try to make contact this way as well. So hoping to make contact. Thanks so much, kindest regards,
